This is how I would think the final playing
Roma in a deep block, Fiorentina all the play except in the box
Smalling cleaning up and Roma strong on the break attacking questionable defending
Hopefully, a similar half time score too
But, plenty of both sides better players not on the field

Kidder it's unlikely that we would face Brighton until the later stages of the competition. Knowing our luck we may face Liverpool.
In any case going to Europe may hinder Brighton....the U may go down the same road as Bolton.

Fiorentina vs Roma on BT2 today ko 5.30. Good opportunity to see the opposition. Roma sit in higher league position but are in poor league form and play Sevilla in the Final this coming Wednesday.

Moyes has brainwashed the team to defend deep and concede possession every game since last season especially against the top teams who have attacking qualities. They conly know one way to play and can't change now, too late to change They would be all over the place. Moyes sees it has worked getting us to the final and thinks it will give us a chance Keeping it tight even if on penalties.
Basle thought the same and came unstuck. The only way we will go on the front foot is if we concede first.

I fully expect Moyes to play super low block to counter their pace with no space in behind, then for us to concede in the first 15 mins, Moyes to then double down on defending, and hoping to equalise with 10 mins left.
We'll then be written up as having gone out with a whimper, the pundits all observing we should have got more on the front foot, and Rice lamenting another career final defeat.
Hope to god this is all incorrect, but it's the only way Moyea knows against decent opposition, and can't see him setting us up in any other way.

I reckon this time next week the nerves are going to start kicking in for a lot of us.
Not many .
Such a huge occasion for the club , I just hope we do ourselves justice and leave nothing out on the pitch .
Its a final , our toughest game but also theirs so lets hope we keep our nerve ,get some luck and lift that trophy.

yeah I was quite surprised with the quality and pace of their forward players and our midfield are going to have a hell of a battle with Amrabat.
This is going to be a big test but I’m glad we are playing them rather than Basel.
It feels like a bigger occasion and a bigger achievement if we do win.
I reckon this time next week the nerves are going to start kicking in for a lot of us.
